Yes! The featured image is utilized throughout the site to ensure that the post or event has a corresponding image. This may be used as a background or the main image in a post or event. Without it, your post format may look off.

Files other than images must be uploaded through the Media Library. Note that not all file types are allowed. However, if you are trying to upload a pdf to use later use the following steps:

1. Click or hover "Media"
2. Click on "Add New Media File"
3. Locate your file and click "Upload"
4. Before navigating away, locate the "File URL" field.
5. Click the "Copy to clipboard" button.
6. Utilize this URL elsewhere in your post, event, or page.
